Good food, Great friends, and ugly sweaters!

We decided to get together this year and have an ungly sweater christmas party. We had a blast. It was amazing to see the sweaters that people came in. My favorite sweater by far was Kaileys. When we found it the two of us were in stitches. I think we made quite the scene at Savers. My sweater was pretty ugly, but I have to admit that I was jealous of KAiley and her Treasure Troll sweater. If it only came in my size! Mike and Jackie also known as Mackie.
Teo and Jessica sportin' christmas fashion.
Rob and Alexis hanging with the white elephant moose.
Nick, Melissa, and baby Lucy.
Rob and Alexis
Mackie and Karver
Andy and Megan. He was considering not wearing the black shirt. I wish he didn't!
Our family. Clint was such a sport. He also shoveled the walk earlier that day in that sweater. I hope the neighbors saw. Kailey won the prize for the ugliest sweater! Way to go girl. To all our friends thanks for having such a great party. We love you all! Merry Christmas!

My little dancer

Last night Kailey had her Christmas recital. She blew me away. I knew she was a good dancer, but watching her on stage really made me realize how talented she really is. If she is this great at 9 I can't imagine how great she is going to be in 5 or 6 years. I have to say I am pleased as punch that she wants to dance. She dances a total of 7 hours a week by choice and it is really paying off. Granted that requires me driving around a lot more, but my parents did it for me and for that I am grateful. I'll gladly do it for my girl. She is awesome and definately worth it!

The other day it was 90 days. That sounds better. As far as I am concerned this baby is due June 8th and I'm stickin' to it. As of today that is 181 days.

My favorite week ever!

It started on Thursday when we had VIP tickets to the premire of Twilight. I went with a bunch of friends. It wa an awesome evening. I absolutely loved the movie. It was so much fun being surrounded by many fans. It made for an even better event. I asn't sure if I was going to like the actor who played Edward because the Edward in my head rocked. However he did an amazing job. Bella was great too. I will definately see it again! I can't wait for New Moon to be in theatres.

Then on Saturday evening I got to go to the Coldplay concert! It was amazing. I went with three of my girlfriends and I loved every minute of it. Chris Martin seems to love his audience and his fans. The set up of the stage was awesome. They even came out in the middle of the concert and performed right in the middle the audience. They set up instruments on four chairs with fans completely surronding them and played clocks. It has been a while since I went to a concert, but coldplay is right up there with U2 and I wouldn't miss them for the world. The concert was worth every penny.
Needless to say that week rocked literally!

31 years young!

I guess I can pass off as a high school student still. So I went to the class I interpret for today. I walked in and the teacher wasn't there. No big deal. It happens all the time. So at the same time my phone started vibrating. I looked down and saw that Clint was calling so I headed out to the hall to answer the phone. I was on the phone for about 2 minutes talking about something important and this woman walks up to me and asks me if I am in this class. I answered yes and told her that the teacher isn't here yet. She replies with a very sharp voice saying, "I am the teacher today. Get off your phone right now and get into class!" So in a daze of what just happened I told Clint I'd call him back so I could go interpret. I walked into class and she tells the students that they need to do homework and then went and sat down. So I walked up to her, used my big girl words and asked if there would be anymore requirements of the students today. She told me no so I informed her that I was going back into the hall to finish my important phone call. She didn't say anything else to me the rest of the period. I think she realized then that I was an adult! You think it would stop happening. I can't tell you how many times I am accused of being a student. I just figured by now people knew who I was. The good news is I still look young. I am just askin' for a little kindness and respect.

Twilight...Is amost here

I am so excited for this movie. I never realized I would love vampires and warewolves so much. The whole reason I even started reading this series was so I would actually know what I was interpreting. I work at a high school as an interpreter and the names Edward, Bella, and Jacob started coming up in conversations I was interpreting and I seriously had no reference to what was being talked about. However, everyone around me knew and would start these elaborate discussions and basically freak out. So I decided in order to do my job better I better arm myself with the knowledge found in the Twilight series. Much to my amazement I couldn't put the books down. As far as my job is concerned it has totally paid off. The twilight subject gets brought up often and I am no longer questioning what is being signed. I am even making sure that I go to the movie the second it is released. In fact I get to see it the day before. Thurday the 20th at 7:00. So while the rest of you die hard fans who will be attending the 12:01 showing know that I will be snug in my bed with visions of vampires in my head.

October in Review

Wow! I can't believe it is November. I'm not sure what happened to October. All I know is that I was extemely busy. I've neglected my blogging duties. So here is my October in review. I'm going to start from the end.

Halloween

Kailey wanted to be a Prom Zombie. She looks amazing and plays the part very well. She was voted scariest costume in her class. It took abou an hour to aply all the make-up and the hair.

Kailey got her inspiration for her costume from our favorite halloween tradition, Thriller. My cousin Taylor happened to be in it this year. Much to my surprise she was waiting for us at the top of the stairs.

That night Alivia and Alaina came over for trick or treating fun. We went for two hours. I have to admit it pooped me out. I guess I don't have the energy I use to have. Clint and I were suppose to go hang out with friends that night. I ended up falling asleep at home. I love Halloween.

PUERTO RICO

Jenny and I had a fabulous opportunity to work in Puerto Rico a few weeks ago. The weather was amazing. The company was fabulous. The beach was beautiful. It was such a great experience. We returned to one of my most favorite places while we were there. We kayaked on the bio bay. If you ever get the chance to go to Puerto Rico make sure you head to the bio bay. It is an amazing adventure.

The girls relaxin' Deelayne and I hanging out.

Our hotel rocked. A friend of mine described it as 70's porn decor. I have to agree. It was fabulous. The best part was I didn't pay a dime. I loved this chair. wished I could have packed it up and took it home with me.

Zions Nation Park

We decided to go to Zions over UEA with the Mcdonalds. We went camping and hiking. It was great. The weather was perfect hiking weather.

Clint was man enough towear this back pack. Appearently we forgot ours. Doesn't he look awesome. I couldn't help but take plenty of pictures of him packing it around. He definately turned many heads.

We tuckered Kailey right out.

October was defentaly fun-filled.

Happy Birthday Kailey!

9 years ago on September 22, I gave birth to an 8pd 8oz baby girl. I can't believe that so much time has passed! She is an absolutely amazing girl. It is such a joy to watch her grew into such a beautiful child. Now she is about 60 pounds and is 4"7' tall. Pretty soon she will be taller then me. I am always in shock at how fast she is growing up. She is an talented dancer. she is always dancing wherever she goes. Se is always laughing and singing. I love her so much and I am looking forword to her growing up even more. For her birthdy she got an ipod nano. She has been wanting one for so long and finally she got one. When she opened her present it was a classic. Her face was the best. She also loves So You Think You Can Dance so my mom and I surprised her and took her to the tour at the E-center. We had so much fun. I have to admit that it was sort of a selfish present on my part becasue I wanted to go just as bad! When she finally realzed where we were going she freaked out. It was awesome. Her are some pictures from our night.

matchy matchy

So Clint and I showed up to Sunday dinner without knowing that we matched. Of course my dad started making fun of us. Well it turned out that he and Cher-mom matche too! We had to take pictures. Ihave to admit one of my pet peevesis whe couples match. I must say that I am a victom here.

Kailey and Braxton matched too.

I added these pictures because Peyton is just adorable and so is Carson.

Thank You Rob and Alexis

So my friend Rob got married to Alexis. I went to their wedding reception last night. I have to say it was the coolest reception I have ever been to. It was at seven peaks water park. It was a fantastic choice because that is where they met. Any way it was awesome. We wore our swim suits and played all night. When we first arrived we enjoyed nachos, french fries, and soda. Their wedding cake was an ice sculpture of a cake with real flowers. I wish I brought my camera because it truly was cool. They also served snowcones. At 8 o'clock the park closed so we had it to ourselves. Kailey was in heaven. We watched a montage of them while we were in the wave pool. We went on what ever slide we wanted. We didn't have to wait in line. It was dark and we had a great time. They even had Napolean Dynamite playing on the big screen by the pool. Thanks Rob and Alexis for have such an enjoyable and memorable reception. I definately celebrated. I think more reception should be this way.

Lemonade

So I went to pick up Kailey from a sleep over and this is what I arrived to. A lemonade stand. They were waving down cars fron the street. I noticed that they were charging a $1 per cup. I thought that was a bit pricy, but people were paying. I was amazed. I sat there with my friend in the shade of a tree as we watched people pull over with huge smiles on their faces and money in hand. The girls would squeal with enthusiasum everytime someone would pull over. If people didn't pull over they waved and honk. One man didn't even want a cup of lemonade but gave them a huge handful of change. They were so excited that someone would do that for them. They ended up making about 28 dollars. It was amazing to watch these two girls create abundance and joy. I really feel that lemonade stands bring out the best in people. It's not about buying a drink. It's about supporting each other. It's about building a little ones self-esteem. So thank you to all those who stopped and made a difference in my childs life. Thanks for creating such a positive experience for my sweet Kailey. And thanks for allowing me to witness the goodness that truly exsists in this world.

Hats off to Kailey Sage!

So Kailey has been terrified of big roller coasters ever since we took her to Disneyland when she was four. She wanted to go on splash mountain. Now remember Kailey has always been a tall kid and at four was tall enough to ride splash mountain. I wasn't so sure about it but decided to let her go on it anyway. That was a mistake. She was terrified and traumatised. We couldn't even walk past splash mountain at that time without her freakin out. I wasn't sure she would ever ride again until Saturday. We went to Lagoon and the first ride we went on was the roller coaster. When we were going down the first hill I looked over at her and she had the look of shear panic and I thought to myself that it was going to be a long day. However half way through the ride it changed to a smile. So Kailey, I congratulate you for being so brave. You are awesome! I love ya kid!
