Kailey's Dance Recital

Kailey had her recital tonight. She performed two pieces. This is for those who were not able to make it. Also I feel I get bragging rights because she is so dang talented! Some dancers have IT and others don't. Kailey definitely has IT! The first is her ballet number, "Fall," and the second is her jazz routine, "Fame."

Kailey is easy to follow in her ballet number. In Fame, once the group breaks apart, she is the second girl from the left.

MMMMM Cake Batter!

Thanks Mishka!

If you look closely at this picture you can see a BIRD on Ava's crib! That's right. About 2 weeks ago our sweet cat decided to bring a live bird in the house. It was quite the fiasco. Ava was serenely taking her afternoon nap what she woke up screaming. I headed to her room to find out what was wrong. Everything seemed normal. So I took her out and preceded to change her when I heard the cat in her closet. I thought she was stuck. I took her out and she ran right back in. My heart sunk. I thought there was a mouse in the closet. I opened the closet door and started to move Kaileys tutu out of the way (I'm not sure why I would do that?) and lo and behold there was a bird staring back at me. I screamed and ran to get Clint, who also was taking a nap. After he realized that we weren't being attacked he tried to get it out of the closet. It flew onto Ava's crib. Then into the bathroom. So we opened our font door and closed all the bedroom doors. It didn't work. It then flew into our kitchen right next to Ava and I. I screamed again. (I don't think I was much help!) That made Ava cry. This whole time Mishka was trying to get it! It was insanity. It continued flying and ran right into our living room mirror. I ended up going outside with Ava. I couldn't stand the idea of this poor bird in our house. Finally Clint got it outside and it flew into the tree.

The next day Mishka brought in a dead bird and left it under Ava's bed. Gross! Then about a week later She ran into the house with a live mouse in tow. This time I shut myself in the bedroom while Clint and Kailey played cat and mouse. Kailey saved it and probably wished she could have kept it as a pet.

I think it's going to be a long Spring!
