2007-A Good Year

Things I accomplished this year:

1. Brought in the new year in Rome and had an excellent trip to Europe with awesome people
2. Went sledding in sugarhouse. Didn't die.
3. Got a pay raise at work
4. Turned 30
5. Got asked for my hall pass numerous times at the high school I work at. Still looking young and fabulous!
6.Watched every episode of Arrested Development again. I laughed harder.
7.Survived working at the high school
8. Traveled to New York. Watched a lady loose her shoe in a crowded subway when she tried to fit in an already overflowing subway car! And then cussed a lot! Laughed even harder.
9. Got engaged to Clint
10. Kailey got baptised
11. Moved out of my home and in with BobKat.
12. Planned a wedding
13. Bought a fixer-upper
14. Got Married! (I'm still in shock and I love it!)
15. Went on a cruise to Mexico!
16. Bought a toilet

I think I had a good year!

I'm Engaged!

Clint asked me to marry him last weekend and guess what? I said YES! Looks like I'm going to be Mrs. Boneck! It's a little surreal but I'll take it! I love him and he loves me back! So we are taking the plunge! Congrats to me! This is the bling. It truly is beautiful, super sparkly, and simply fantastic! I am happy to wear it! I love it!

Happy Birthday Kailey!

Kailey turned 8 on September 22. I am so lucky to have such a beautiful daughter! She has been the joy of my life. She truly is my best friend. We have been through everything together and the bond we have is amazing. Kailey is such a funny child. She is always dancing everywhere. I wonder where she gets it? She always knows how to make me smile. She absolutely loves horses. I keep wondering when her zeal for that animal will go away. I'm guessing never. she has imaginary horses that go everywhere with us. Apparently they pull my car when we are driving. So for her birthday Clint arranged for Kailey to go to this farm and ride Dreamer. She is such a natural. Clint was so thoughtful to give her such a gift.
She absolutely had so much fun. We also got to hang out with llamas, goats, donkeys, and tons of different animals. They afternoon was well spent .

At Grandma Kats we had a fun little birthday party. We enjoyed kicking spongebobs butt! We only did it because we heard there was candy involved! It really paid off!
We sang happy birthday to celebrate such a wonderful child! My mom gave Kailey horseback riding lessons. That will be great to add another talent on to this child. It's amazing how much time and energy is put into supporting your children's talents. I can't imagine what the parents do when they have more than 1 kid. Between dance classes and horseback riding I'll have reached my limit!

We had her party at NickelMania. This is a picture of Kailey and her favorite boy from school! The children were wild. However the party was a hit!
This is Kailey and dreamer. They seamed to hit it off very well!

Kailey,
I want you to know how much I love you. You have been such a special blessing in my life. Sometimes I just watch you sleep and I am in awe that such a beautiful choice spirit was sent to me to share your light and life with me. I am so grateful for all of our wonderful memories together. I am grateful for your sweet smile and your sense of humor. You truly crack me up. You are always so considerate of others feelings and I am so grateful to have such a compassionate child. You are so bright. I love watching you solve your own problems. You always come up with a great solution. I know you will always make such great choices! You are my #1 and nobody will ever take your place. I am so excited to share many more memories together. Thank you for choosing me for your mother! Happy birthday baby girl! I love you! Love Mom

My internet is working. All I have to say is switching service was suppose to be easy. Appearantly it didn't turn out to be that way for me! And now my phone is causing me problems. Hopefully that will be fixed soon too. However, the good news is that I can finally blog! Now all 3 people who even look at my blog can see what the heck I am up to! Giddyup!

European Adventures

Our trip began on Dec 20, 2006. Emily, Joni, Seth, Daniel, Karrin, and I flew into London. When we arrived we lugged our bags through the streets of London. We ended up staying at a hostel. It wasn't too bad except that we shared our quarters with some italian guy who always walked around in his underwear. To some that may be a treat. However to us, not so much! We enjoyed the city especially the double decker buses. We would sit at the top and hope people watch people run in front of the buses. Thet were crazy and even worse the buses wouldn't slow down. A local informed us that if a bus was to hit a pedestrian then the pedestrian was liable to pay for all the damages. Who knew. We also enjoyed the sites in London. We took a walking tour that was absolutely fabulous. The only thing I didn't like was how expensive everything was and the food wasn't that great either. I payed 12.00 for a mcdonalds combo meal! Ouch! Our next stop was Prague. We stayed in a 4 star hotel. It was fancy smancy and the breakfast was to die for! My dad met us at the airport. He lives in Czech and I hadn't seen him for 7 years. It was good to see him. I took a train to my dads town which was three hours away and spent christmas there. I came back the next day on a scary train by myself packed with so much food. The greeks will never change. My friends and I also celebrated christmas that morning. We each picked a person and exchanged gift. It was really awesome. The town of Prague is absolutely breathtaking. I have been their twice now and I recommend it to everyone. Our next stop was Germany. We were basically just passing through. We stayed is some 80's hotel. There is realy not much to report except we enjoyed the pastries there. Then our next stop was Italy. We spent most of our time there. I have so many stories from that place. I'll report that part of the trip soon!

YouTube no like me

Ok so I was trying to post a video from YouTube to my blog. I set it up correctly. It actually worked and then I came back and it was gone! Either I am computer illiterate or just having bad luck! So basically I am addicted to the show So You Think You Can Dance! It is my absolute favorite and I watch it religiously! I am a little upset because last week my favorite dancer got kicked off. Anya! Maybe I liked her because our names rhyme, however I think it is truly because she is a fantastic dancer. I know I am not alone because Mary Murphy, a judge on the show, was pretty pissed when she was out voted by the other two judges! But as they always say the show must go on! The other dancers are superb! Last week Pasha and Sarah performed the raddest dance. It was 100 % 80's from the outfits to the music to the jazz hands! I absolutely loved it! I was actually trying to post that video. So if you want to be entertained just do a search for Pasha and Sarah jazz. I feel you will be pleasantly surprised!

One day...

I just wanted to blog this so everyone will know how powerful I am! This is going to be my house! It costs a $butt load.00, but that doesn't matter! The only thing that matters is that I love it and it's going to be mine! If everything goes according to plan! Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! (pinkie to my lip!) Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!

The Girls

Necklace from Target 15.00. Favorite shorts from Wet Seal 22.00. A super fantastic burger from Citrus Grill 7.50. Girls night out Priceless! There is nothing like a girls night out! Men are cool and all, but a night out with the girls has a way of replenishing the resources. It's like playing a video game and your life force is hanging on a thread. Then you see it! The heart that will give you full life again. You reach it and you hear the wonderful accelerating tone indicating that your life force has been refilled! Apparently I've only played Zelda growing up on the original Nintendo. However, that is what girls night out is like!

Victoria, Alaina, Jessica, and I went to my and I would venture to say our favorite restaurant. I ordered one of my favorites, the Citrus Burger! It is probably better than any burger I have ever had. They grill it to your liking. Then they add a guacamole sauce that is to die for. Then to top it off with a bun that is so soft and it melts in your mouth. It is so good. In fact when Nicole and John were in town we went there to eat. I ordered a burger. They ordered a pizza (which is also fantastic if I must say so.) When we got our food I gave them a bite of THE burger. The result was they ordered a burger and got a box for their pizza! It's that good! Anyway, spending time with the girls is awesome. I love girls night out!

Kim, Karlee, me, Rachel, Jeni, and Hailey

Karlee is getting married! Woo hoo! This picture was taken at her bridal shower. We had so much fun! Jeni was cracking me up with the secret game she played! The gifts given were fabulous. The chocolate fountain was licious! Basically Girls Rock!

Happy Birthday Babe!

It was Clint's Birthday July 6th! He turned a whoppin' 29 years old! Isn't he so handsome!
I gave him a camera for his birthday! He was super surprised. I knew he had no idea what I was giving him so it was fun to watch him open it!

We went to the pool that morning! Frank, Cheryl, and Carson came to the pool. Kailey and Alivia were there also of course. It was a perfect morning!

Kailey and Alivia

This is Clint's birthday cake! TRES LECHES! I recieved a big kiss for this one! It is his favorite. A few of his friends came over and we played games. We had a great time! I love Clint! I am so happy that he is in my life.

BobKat

This is BobKat. Also known as my Mom and Bob. There isn't much to say about them except they are the coolest! They cruise around on their scooters. They eat at at posh resteraunts. They frequent the farmer's market, They save kitties. They are my superheros! I strive to become like BobKat!

Nic and Ra

Nic was in town a few weeks ago! It was so great to see her and spend time with her. Nic, John, Clint, and I went to dinner while they were in town at my favorite restaurant-the Citrus Grill! It was so great to see them and as Clint would say chitter chat with them. The next day we went to the pool. As you can see Nic spend much time in the sun than I do. It was good times relaxin' by the pool! I am so grateful that Nic and I have been friends for as long as we have. She is absolutely amazing and I love her. I just wish she didn't live in Arizona! Sad. Love ya Nic!

My Perfect Daughter

This is all about Kailey! She is my best friend. We do everthing together. We laugh at the same things! And you better believe that we have the best dance parties ever! Kailey was born on September 22, 1999 weighing 8 pounds 8 ounzes. She came out without any bruises. In the fact the doctor and nurses were fussing about how beautiful and perfect she was. I said, "you probably say that to all the mothers." The doctor response was, " No I rarely say that. In Fact we've had a run-a-muck of ugly babies in these parts!" So I felt pretty special! My baby was the best of course. She was a beautiful baby with dark brown eyes and the longest black eyelashes to accompany them. Her skin was a creamy milky white. Flawless and perfect. And when she cried for the first time it was extremely loud. I heard my dad in the hall comment that she had iron lungs! When they put her on my chest. I looked at her and she looked at me and we have been best friends ever since! We have had great moments since then. Some of my favorite memories include the first time she talked to me. She was about one month old and I was just talking to her making her smile. Then she let out a little "gooo". I cried of course. Now it seems that I can't get her to stop talking. She started crawling at about 7 months because she had to get to my parents dog Keisha. Once she got there she would lay on Keisha and give her hugs and kissess. Keisha was great. She would just lay there and lick Kailey occasionally. Kailey started walking at 10 months old. It seems like as soon as she figured out how to walk she learned how to run! Holy man was she fast! She definately kept me on my toes. She also started using sign language at that time. It was nice for her to communicate with me. Also around the same time she started dancing. She has been dancing ever since. She is incredibly talented. In fact she said to me the other day that when she is old enough she is going to be on So You Think You Can Dance! If it is still around I am sure she will be! Over the years I have watched her grow in to this beautiful, intelligent, confident kid. I have watched her make mistakes and figure out in her own how to fix them. I have watched her personality blossom into who she is and I constantly asked myself where did she come from!?! She is amazing in every sense of the word! She is currently seven. I am still shocked that I have a seven year old kid! I look at her sometimes and am bewildered that she came out of my body. She is going into second grade and is about as tall as I am. ( She comes up to my shoulder!) She is about as boy crazy as they come. The other day Clint, Kailey, and I went to the park. We were tossing around the frisbee when I noticed a boy from her class that she has had a crush on. So I pointed him out. she got so embarresed. I told her to go say hi. She said no, but then told me to throw the frisbee in that direction so that he would see her! So I did. And she ran over there in all of her glory. He did notice. However, boys at seven could care less about girls. The whole cootie factor you know. Well as the day progressed Clint and I sat back and enjoyed the show. Kailey kept running back and forth trying to get his attention. She would run this way and then that way carefully making sure he would notice! At one moment he did say hi so I guess all the work payed off! It was hillarious to watch! Anyway, I am sure I will have plenty of stories to share about Kailey. She is the best and I love her to pieces!

Maybe not so inspired. Gonna try again!

It is now june 26th. Almost 2 month after I was "inspired" so I am going to try again. I am committed to be re-inspired! Let me start with me. Right now my life is perfect. I have the perfect daughter, the perfect guy, and the perfect me! Life truly is going the way I like it! So how did I get here? Well let's do a quick re-cap! I was born on March 25 1977. It was quite the entrance. I was born breach and was stuck in the birth canal for a little bit longer than normal (that may explain why I am so flexible and clausterphobic!). Anywho, I grew up in Salt Lake City, West Valley, Cottonwood Heights, West Jordan, West Valley again, Holladay, and West Jordan again. I stayed there until I was 18 then the moving started again! I went to college and got my degree in interpreting. Two years into college I got married and had a beautiful daughter, my Kailey Sage. She was born on September 22, 1999. A year later I was divorced for good reason. So it has been Kailey and I, the girls, for the past 7 years. I now live in Sugarhouse. I work at a high school here as a sign language interpreter. I also teach dance in Draper at South Mountain Dance. I am dating a wonderful man named Clint. My daughter is 7 and the joy of my life and I couldn't be more blessed! So that is me in a nutshell!

Inspired

I just went to lunch with my best friend who happened to be in town yesterday. First of all let me say that we have been friends for 17 years or so. We met in gym class and I asked her not to steal my vest. It was the begining to a beautiful relationship. However, this morning I woke up early and got online. I checked out her blog and I am truly inspired! Nick, you are an amazing person. Truly inspiring, beautiful, and genuine. I am grateful that you are in my life. So because you make a difference I decided to have a blog of my own! Let's see where this goes!?! Love ya babe!
