My Perfect Daughter

This is all about Kailey! She is my best friend. We do everthing together. We laugh at the same things! And you better believe that we have the best dance parties ever! Kailey was born on September 22, 1999 weighing 8 pounds 8 ounzes. She came out without any bruises. In the fact the doctor and nurses were fussing about how beautiful and perfect she was. I said, "you probably say that to all the mothers." The doctor response was, " No I rarely say that. In Fact we've had a run-a-muck of ugly babies in these parts!" So I felt pretty special! My baby was the best of course. She was a beautiful baby with dark brown eyes and the longest black eyelashes to accompany them. Her skin was a creamy milky white. Flawless and perfect. And when she cried for the first time it was extremely loud. I heard my dad in the hall comment that she had iron lungs! When they put her on my chest. I looked at her and she looked at me and we have been best friends ever since! We have had great moments since then. Some of my favorite memories include the first time she talked to me. She was about one month old and I was just talking to her making her smile. Then she let out a little "gooo". I cried of course. Now it seems that I can't get her to stop talking. She started crawling at about 7 months because she had to get to my parents dog Keisha. Once she got there she would lay on Keisha and give her hugs and kissess. Keisha was great. She would just lay there and lick Kailey occasionally. Kailey started walking at 10 months old. It seems like as soon as she figured out how to walk she learned how to run! Holy man was she fast! She definately kept me on my toes. She also started using sign language at that time. It was nice for her to communicate with me. Also around the same time she started dancing. She has been dancing ever since. She is incredibly talented. In fact she said to me the other day that when she is old enough she is going to be on So You Think You Can Dance! If it is still around I am sure she will be! Over the years I have watched her grow in to this beautiful, intelligent, confident kid. I have watched her make mistakes and figure out in her own how to fix them. I have watched her personality blossom into who she is and I constantly asked myself where did she come from!?! She is amazing in every sense of the word! She is currently seven. I am still shocked that I have a seven year old kid! I look at her sometimes and am bewildered that she came out of my body. She is going into second grade and is about as tall as I am. ( She comes up to my shoulder!) She is about as boy crazy as they come. The other day Clint, Kailey, and I went to the park. We were tossing around the frisbee when I noticed a boy from her class that she has had a crush on. So I pointed him out. she got so embarresed. I told her to go say hi. She said no, but then told me to throw the frisbee in that direction so that he would see her! So I did. And she ran over there in all of her glory. He did notice. However, boys at seven could care less about girls. The whole cootie factor you know. Well as the day progressed Clint and I sat back and enjoyed the show. Kailey kept running back and forth trying to get his attention. She would run this way and then that way carefully making sure he would notice! At one moment he did say hi so I guess all the work payed off! It was hillarious to watch! Anyway, I am sure I will have plenty of stories to share about Kailey. She is the best and I love her to pieces!

Maybe not so inspired. Gonna try again!

It is now june 26th. Almost 2 month after I was "inspired" so I am going to try again. I am committed to be re-inspired! Let me start with me. Right now my life is perfect. I have the perfect daughter, the perfect guy, and the perfect me! Life truly is going the way I like it! So how did I get here? Well let's do a quick re-cap! I was born on March 25 1977. It was quite the entrance. I was born breach and was stuck in the birth canal for a little bit longer than normal (that may explain why I am so flexible and clausterphobic!). Anywho, I grew up in Salt Lake City, West Valley, Cottonwood Heights, West Jordan, West Valley again, Holladay, and West Jordan again. I stayed there until I was 18 then the moving started again! I went to college and got my degree in interpreting. Two years into college I got married and had a beautiful daughter, my Kailey Sage. She was born on September 22, 1999. A year later I was divorced for good reason. So it has been Kailey and I, the girls, for the past 7 years. I now live in Sugarhouse. I work at a high school here as a sign language interpreter. I also teach dance in Draper at South Mountain Dance. I am dating a wonderful man named Clint. My daughter is 7 and the joy of my life and I couldn't be more blessed! So that is me in a nutshell!
